I've been busy with work, school, dating, projects, assignments, being contented, being happy, being confused, being lost, finding a new me.
I feel a little tired.
I hate it when things goes wrong. Who likes it, hur? Well, I just have to managed it and handle it well.
I was told a few days back that I should work harder. Define "work harder".
Is it working till past eight at night? Is it fighting for that promotion every year? Is it getting distinctions for my school results? Is it trying to manage my life to be a better person without compromising the fun side of life?
What is it? What is "work harder"?
I was told I cannot be contented and too happy in life. My reply to that statement, "Nothing I do in life, no matter which area, will ever be good enough (for you)."
I know I have to constantly improve but I can still be happy at the same time.
It seems like the "walls" which I have been building the last couple of months have been knocked down with just one blow.
It's okay.
That's life for you. A bed of roses thorns with occasional roses growing. And since roses can't last, the moment it wither and die, the thorns start to appear in life.
Wait... Who's life am I leading again?
P.S.: My braces shifted. My colleagues can tell. yey!
Eric: Psst. I'm going lancing tonight at zouk. Me: I am not dressed to kill. Eric: Go home and change then come larh! Where got people go chiong so early one? Me: Urm. Okay!
A not-very-well-taken picture in Zouk. LOL. Oh well... That's the only picture I have of him with me now.
Lastly, Sarah, my "back-door" neighbour. She likes to pop-by and give me unexpected surprises. *scary* Girl in black dress is Sarah. The other, Kartini, our in-house designer who left last week.
See what I meant by "back-door". She sits behind me. She's got my back covered, and I've got hers. Laughs.
Alrighty. Time to start my day with meetings.... Cheerios!
Did I mention I love school too? Yes, school + work = going crazy ms soon.
P.S.: Yes, I have red and white braces on. It's been 21 days already. Yey!
Feeling: in love Playing: class 95 (what's with the play list now? yucks!)
It states "Price: $185.00" (should be in USD). Which kind soul(s) willingly to spoil me?
I can't help it. I was feeling very disoriented in the morning (must be that call I got in the middle of the night which left me feeling this way), so I fiddle around my desk, I turned to CLEO, she knew what I needed, the last read page, was the advertisement of Oakley's. I saw the webby, I got curious, I typed, I clicked, I surfed, I am in love.
Kind soul(s), anyone?
My old esprit shades is coming to three years old. Haha...
Feeling: lala Playing: Once in every lifetime by Jem
Did you know? I am currently addicted to Grey's Anatomy. Everything about the serial. Soundtrack, cast, i-can't-think-what-else.
All thanks to Jacoby. Hee... Some more, please?
Okay, my mummy pulled me out of bed at 6am today. Cos it's a day of obligation for us Catholics. I can't complain. I don't hate it. I appreciate it. I am just feeling lala again. Even though I stopped my muscle relaxant. I just didn't get enough sleep.
I wish I had a new job. And the new job is in States. Urm. That will be a new life already! *happy*
I am excited (over a dream).
I am going insane (because I lack sleep).
I am going back to work (or at least I am trying to).
Oh. I do facebook.com now. It's fun. My only source of Internet-communication besides the normal office email.
I think it's the muscle relaxant I took that is making me so high. I feel floaty. *giggles* I had fever on Friday or maybe even days before but I didn't realise I was sick since my office air con is forever so cold, I thought it was normal to be freezing.
I actually went to the doctor because I had some infection and needed antibiotics but ended up being sicker than I thought I was. I told Dr Ros I was feeling very very giddy, like the whole room is constantly spinning. So she checked my temperature and almost wanted to slap me. The thermometer showed "38.1".
Here's part of our conversation:
Me: 38.1 deg c. isn't that high? high? like normal temperature should be 36.7 deg c only. I've fever?
Mom: She felt fine. I didn't detect anything with my hands.
Dr Ros: Cos you are not the thermometer.
*OUCH* Kenna slapped.
That was kinda funny actually.
Okay, I can't continue because I have to get back to work and my medication stops me from thinking too much.
Anyway, my photo collection part 2.
Pepper chewing his treat on my bed.
Pepper licking himself on my bed.
Pepper being scolded for playing with my toy bear.
Pepper being bed-less because I chased him out. *gryns* Actually, he misses Eeyore, that's why he went to the living room to rest.
Think of the last cool drink you had. Did you fully savour just how wonderful it felt and tasted?
What about the last conversation you had with a loved one on the mobile phone? Were you grateful for the technology that made it possible?
What about the last time you were late for an appointment, desperately wished for a cab and there it was?
How often do we celebrate and revel in the miracles that occur in our every day lives?
The bane of Man is that he tends to focus on life's problems and ignore its blessings. We rant and rave when things go wrong, but when life is good, do we give thanks for it? The very fact that you are walking, talking, breathing, tasting, touching is a miracle in itself! We live in a world bursting with possibility and here we are complaining all the time!
Life was meant to be savoured. Life was meant to be simple. Sure, it has its fair share of problems, but these are mitigated by its pleasures and joys. The reason why you are feeling all this pain and misery is that you have magnified the complexity of things. Children are never miserable, at least not for long, and your pets are ridiculously excited at your return? why? Not because they're mindless? not because they're not intelligent enough? but because they know how to see things in simple ways? the ways they were supposed to be seen.
External forces act on us now and then to test our faith and will. Would you really want to give in to confusion, chaos, and complexity? when all you need to do to be happy, is to see things simply, and revel in everything that's being revealed to you?
Most people are so busy waiting for miracles to happen that they fail to notice the ones occurring right under their noses. It's a bit like people who spend their lives hunting desperately for the partner of their dreams, while ignoring the ones who would gladly share their lives with them.
If we open up our hearts, minds and eyes, we'll be touched by the many miracles that occur everyday. These things and more exist to increase the depth of our lives, yet how many of them do we appreciate for the miracles that they are?
Change your perspective and you could change your life.
